# Motor Cortex Stimulation...Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hello to all. I met with my neurosurgeon yesterday and the plan is now for motor cortex stimulation. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi, I have been referred to a clinic to be evaluated regarding one of these. There is a group here called “Neurostimulators” that has some information about this. I am just starting to read about it myself. Hope it works for you.

I had my motor cortex simulator put in Oct. 31,2003, at HenryFord,hospital, they 1st put in a trial one to see if that is going to work 1st, they made me a little sleepy with their magic potion (ha ha) it was halloween, it took alittle longer than a hour, they had a little trouble with pushing the2nd lead through as soon as I said" owee owee," I was fineee (ha) the problem was it didn’t work, that was the sad part, something else that didn’t work.I myself if I even thought there was a small chance would try it again, it’s pretty low risk and I was as comfortable as possible most of the time they were putting it in I was pain free.They had me live it in 3 weeks instead of just one in hopes, it didn’t hurt at all coming out and no pain while it was in. Hope you have GREAT SUCCESS.!!!
