I am sorry to hear about your pain and frustration in trying to get the right med, a struggle I am currently having as well. Please be careful about stopping Lyrica quickly, I tapered off it too quickly and am still suffering as a result a month later. So please be careful, I assumed that even though I had only been on a low dose for a very few days I would be ok but I was wrong!
Yes, I hear you.... I soooo regret going! Good Luck

It sounds like the dental procedure may have upset the nerves. I have to go soon too and I am sooooo nervous! I am going to ask my neuro about it when I go Monday. Good luck!
I am regretting lowering the dose. Stupidy, I lowered the dose and then had a dental cleaning. I also have been in pain ever since... almost one month now.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. Do not under any circumstances start getting root canals and extractions of your teeth. If it's TN, it won't help and will just cost you a lot of time and money to fix later. Go see a neurologist ASAP and have them prescribe Tegretol and/or Neurontin. If it's TN, you will likely experience relief quickly.
They really can't do much in the ER, but it can get you an earlier referral to a neurologist if you are seen in the ER first. Even in the US, it takes too long to get a neuro appt. Good luck and remember to keep your teeth!
Thank you for the reassurance. It certainly is tempting to want to pull out my teeth but I realize this is not the solution. I have been on lyrica for the last month and I notice just a small reduction in pain. Hoping I can get into a neurologist here in Canada soon. If not, I will try to get the GP to prescrbe something else or in addition to the lyrica. Not sure if this would work as the GP seemed like this was out of her area of expertise.
