Hi Amy hope you are feeling better today, yes I experienced really bad headaches and right eye pain everyday for well over a year, along with TN pain, my neurologist gives me botox injections across my forehead all down to my neck, these have helped take the edge of the constant pain.

Hi,

Yes. I was getting migraines every single day for about six months with severe ATN symptoms around my left eye. I have talked with many other TNers that have headaches, migraines, or cluster headaches as well.

It is literally hell on earth. As if ATN isn't enough to deal with right

Jane

I a Suffer from TN1 and TN2 and have constant headache and facial pain. Tegretol helped take the edge off of the pain for almost 3 years an has now stopped working. I see you suffer from TN1 and 2 as well. I am curious if you also suffer from burning sensation patches on your skin on various parts of your body? Does anyone else have this sensation?

If you haven't tried acupuncture you should. It helped with my migraines a lot

My arm burns horribly Evee. Did a doctor suggest a connection? I have TN1 and TN2 also with electric shocks, temple and facial pain and my favorite, the eye hurts.

I get headaches around my left eye (in addition to pain on left side of my face). I take tegretol (carbamazpine) and gabapentin but when the extremely painful eye happens, I take Imitrex (sumatriptan) or Maxalt, both for migraine, but also works for TN.

Yes to the headaches. And I would suggest talking to your neuro about botox injections to help both the pain of TN and the headaches.

I think my headaches were caused by the tensing my body did from all the pain. Hypertension is known to cause intense headaches.

My frequent headaches were brought under control for the most part when I added nortriptyline. It has helped quite a few of us here. As I am still on gabapentin I did not notice any side effects from the nortriptyline. I do take it at night so I think it helps me sleep.
