GPN related heart arrhythmia cured by GPN surgery?

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone else experiences or has experienced heart related issues, such as palpitations, slow heart beat, etc.

I never made the connection (and I guess I'm still not sure if I have) but I suspect the palpitations I've had for possibly the same number of years as the GPN, have disappeared, along with the GPN pain, since my surgery. It's only the last year or so that I started to become more aware of a few articles that suggested a variety of heart issues related to GPN due to it's proximity to the Vagus Nerve. But even then I never suspected any relationship. I went for a full heart work up just over a year ago and basically was told by the specialist to be a man and get my shit together and my palpitations will go away. I assumed that they new what they were talking about and so, even after reading the GPN stuff, I still thought my palpitations were stress related and had nothing to do with my GPN. Anyway, I'm hopeful that all the benefits I've gotten from the surgery so far, will last for good.

Take care,

Ron

FASCINATING!!!

I can’t believe that a specialist would tell you to suck it up like that! Especially with a condition that has a proven link to heart issues! Sheesh that’s scary.

I am pleased to hear that this has settled down along with the GPN pain. That can only be a good thing. I’m glad that you’re reaping the benefits already.

Much love to you

Ron,

I've just been asking about this on the FB site actually, I've been getting chest pains on and off for months, which was put down to tietzes syndrome, but in the last few weeks as my spazz outs have been worse, so have the chest pains, and they seem to be comming closer together. I've not been back to the doctors since, because I've had no feinting spells or anything, but I'm really not happy about the chest pains I've been getting, I think it might be time for me to suck it up and go and get it looked at again!

I'd be really interested to hear what other folks experiences have been of this too. Hope you're still pain free and that lifes treating you well.

Much love
