Hello! I will be traveling to Pittsburgh on September 29 to have my nervus intermedius cut by Dr. Gardner at UPMC. I was wondering if any of you that have flown home after surgery suffered any additional pain, pressure, or if there are any other symptoms or possible problems that I should know about ahead of time. What are the side effects of having this procedure done?? Also you may need extra pain meds for cabin pressure for pain…just a thought…
I’ve heard people mention it happenning before. :-\

Hi RueAnn,
I flew home 6 days after MVD, I needed a wheelchair for distance as I was quite weak and off balance, but the flight itself was fine. ( I was still on TN meds and Tylenol 3s for surgical pain as well as an anti-nausea med)
Yes, what are the side effects of the procedure you’re having?
