I wanted to let you know I had MVD 4 weeks ago today and I’m doing well. They only saw one compression on my MRI but found much more - 3 veins, 2 arteries. The post op pain is manageable. I had and still have some numbness in my face but no pain, praise God. I was surprised how much my neck hurt from the incision. I got meningitis one week after surgery with severe headache but that was even treatable at home with steroids and better pretty quickly. I am still tired easily. The back of my head still sore, crowds overwhelming, my hearing still off a little but I’d do it all over again. Get a wedge pillow to have at home. Sleeping is tough, cause you need to elevate your head and your neck is sore. That made a world of difference. I had to order one. I felt like I had to try this surgery. The life I had with all the meds and all the pain was not worth living. I’m 41. I’ll be praying for you.

I Hope and Pray that your pain will all go away soon. You sound like you've been thru a lot this past 4 weeks.
My MVD just got moved out to Nov 17th and the anticipation is killing me. Like you I feel like I have to try this surgery.
Get off the meds and see if I can live a normal life again. Thanks for sharing. I'll try to find one of those wedges.
