I live in Montgomery County, MD. I have TN on the Left Side of my face and by an unhappy coincidence need some dental work and also hygienist work on the other side. I was wondering if anyone knows of a dental practice that would be sympathetic to this issue as I am very anxious about anyone being in contact with my face. Or perhaps someone knows of a sympathetic neurologist who could recommend someone. The neurologist I work with is excellent medically but not that great on the interpersonal skills.
You are absolutely right to be aware from dental procedures (read my profile info), it is important to find right doctor, also if you have to do root canal - I suggest to choose endodontist, who specialises on root canal treatment. Good Luck,
I suggest that you visit the Facial Pain Association and look up their support group contacts for Maryland. Your best bet in finding a dentist or doctor may be a recommendation from a previous satisfied customer. The support group leaders often get inquiries of this kind, and can poll their members.
