What dosage of spirulina?
Hello , Fellow pain worriers.
My journey! Had MVD in Portland, Worked for about a month. then the shooting stars came back. Burning stuff once in a while.
Took Carbamazopene for at least 10 years. worked fine. Gaba, I hated it.
I take OXcarbazepine 150 4 times a day, much easier on your body and your liver, because it goes through your kidney rather than liver.
No magic bullet but following has been the old faithful remedies.
A- Hot tub, stops my pain in about 5 to 10 min in 104 degrees and stretching gives me a relief of at least couple of hours, enough to eat my breakfast or lunch.
B- Acupuncture, From a good acupuncturist that is.
C- Recently I mean really recently I have discovered. When my trigger point is on top of my mouth, that every time my tong hit it you know what happens…
I bought SEA BOND denture adhesive seals, from any drug store and place it inside your mouth covering the roof of your mouth, it should stay there on its own. Sleep with it or like I do I’ll keep it there all day if I have to.
Believe me this has been a magic bullet for me.
Please try it and let me know if it worked for you.
Good luck
Love you all
Hi ellen, I have tn2 for 6 years and I also have burning mouth syndrome. I get burning in my lower right teeth, burning in my palate, gums and teeth, sometimes separately and sometimes all at the same time so I don’t always know what is causing it but it doesn’t matter because when it happens The pain is there and it is unbearable. I feel like someone is putting a blowtorch in my mouth.
How much clonazepam and how much gabapentin do you take? I am on both plus baclofen and Nortriptyline. I can’t take codeine because I am allergic to it. The Nortriptyline seems to be the best for nerve pain but it seems like it is not working too good now. I was thinking about trying the cyber knife but I am really scared of getting anesthesia Delarosa. I am going to look into it but I don’t know what kind of doctor to see. My neurologist recommended a radiation oncologist but I thought a neurosurgeon would be the one to see. Have you tried cyberknife? Hope you have some relief.
Hi Leney, I would like to try the spiruluna but I don’t have your email. Are you allowed to post the dosage? If you are I would really appreciate if you could post it. On a lot of different meds and would love to get off them and try the herb.
Thanks.
My email is

No spaces. Had to type it out this way so it would not get deleted.
Wow
Thanks for the message.
It is a. 25 tablet.I take 1 and a half at at night and as my midday snack when I am not taking codeine although I do need to take a mersyndol to get it to carry me through to nite.Cutting a codeine pill in 4 just knocks me out and that is not my aim.
.
I am also trying MBSR-there is a free one on line and I know some of the people in the videos so I trust that more than how mine is being done.It might be of some help Google free MBSR Palouse and it is affiliated with the Massachusetts site…
I was taking nortryptiline with clonazepam and then noticed a study that had clonazepam and Prozac take the pain away in someone’s tooth in one month. It is official study-google it.I am going to ask my doctor to try-bring study in with me -but I need too be off the nortryptiline for 5 weeks.
I saw a neurosurgeon in Toronto and they vetoed cyberknife because they cannot see where the problem is.
Have you tried marijuana oil-at least to sleep?
Gabapentin I take 300mg 3 times a day and 99o at night.
It is so screwy. The best for me is being by the water when th waves come in-but Canada does not do implants and I do not know whether anyone would bother.
Just trying to get through this course. Some crap happened that I am not happy about-but don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
I will do the free one next fall.
Please let me know if you check it out and want to chat about life.
Oh and my son in assisted living is INFESTED with bedbugs. The stress I am under is brutal.Came home from a rough day of trying to find out what went wrong with the MBSR(got a bunch of crisis info sheets-not what I asked) and visited my son’t case manager and did not expect all hell to break loose and came home exhausted.Tossed my clothes on a pile of laundrey and went to bed without washing and now I itch all over and am doing my best to turn this into a mindfulness exercise.

This is one of the articles.Lucky I saved it because I could not find it on the web.Must have used the wrong words.
Let me know what you decide.
I also find sucking on strong mints helps and the best and cheapest are at the front of the Walmart cashier aisles-FROST is brand name.I find they help a bit and don’t go anywhere without them
Hi, Ellen. Reading posts years later. Did you ever try the horse spirulina? That is quite possibly the strangest question I’ve ever asked. But as you know, we’ll try anything. Thanks, and be well. -Faye
Hi
Can’t even remember that one.So no-never tried it.I am doing this laser therapy now and a week ago I had 5 hours of NO pain. Not reduced pain ,not imagine it;s gone pain-gote.Burning gone.Started eating fruit again and doughnuts. For a week the pain was reduced and now that it is back it is so much worse.So-I will keep going. The other thing I have been doing is listening to meditation tapes by Willow Bend Zen and her last one is on pain and finding the sensations under the pain and then finding the pain signals in the brain. She is quite good.Canadian from B.C…They are free on youtube or you can buy longer versions(the free ones are an hour ) for 4 dollars. They are 4 hours long.My headphone battery craps out before it is over.Anyways-for some reason I got 5 hours of relief and the only reason I went back to the neck as the issue,I had a thyroid ultrasound and I asked the technician what could be at the side of my neck(where the digastric muscle is) anyways she wanded that area for a while. She did not find anything-however that evening I got 15 minutes of pain relief. So the problem is in my neck as I have said since the beginning -yet everyone says it is my brain .Anyways-have you found anything that works.?This year if I could not find something that helped I was going to go for MAID…Constant pain is not fun.
Hey…I really appreciate your answer, although wow, was I looking forward to finding a large animal vet! I will look into the meditation tapes. Tomorrow I’m going to see a new acupuncturist and will ask her about laser therapy too. Take care, Ellen. Yes, this pain sucks!
These are high intensity lasers The place is BIOFLEX.Maybe you can look them up and explain to the therapist that you need something strongSo-one time I went and the guy used like a laser pen along my neck.that did NOT work and actually increased the pain because he pressed it onto tense area. Now they just use a pack of lasers and I lie down.Yesterday I asked them to just put the pack on my neck-not my chin and the trigeminal nucleus that they usually do…I wanted to see whether just doing my neck could help. In the evening my pain was pretty much gone(but with meds-however it has gotten so bad that even with meds the pain was not moving)Back this morning but who knows how it will shift today. If the laser things interest you I believe they sell them.I would imagine you would need to be trained.I had bought a 600 dollar laser pen and it didnt’ do anything…Can’t even remember why I went to this place. It is 5 minutes from my home and never heard of it.In this crappy industrial St…I think I saw the big sign and went in.Doctor is super nice and believes in my theory when so many people have shot it down.I hope we all find some kind of peace in this hellhole we have been tossed into.If anything we meet really nice people like you.Hoping things work out for you.
Oh, you poor thing! You said:“I have had a 24hr a day 7 days a week perpetual ache in my head and face for about 6 years now with no abatement.” I would say I can’t imagine, but I can. The last time I felt the ache and burning coming on, I took half a oxycontin 5 mg tablet that I had left over from breast cancer surgery, and lay down on the sofa, and even though narcotics don’t touch the TN pain, it did relieve this aching burning. Another time I felt it, I took 150 mg Trileptal along with half a 10 mg tablet of Flexeril, and that relieved the aching burning. I am so sorry to hear that you have this aching all the time. Can you not get SSDI so that you don’t have to force yourself to stay at work and suffer?
Omigosh, you must be totally miserable. The Neurontin - It made me really stupid, so I had to quit it. It wasn’t for the TN anyway, it was for another MS-related pain. The Tramadol helps me not tense up from other pain I have, and keeping the tension down helps keep the TN pain away. But the MOUTH DRYNESS - I wake up with my entire mouth as dry as paper. I just wanted to let you know you are not the only one with an unbearably dry mouth from medicines.
Hi leney,
i have just messaged you about this, thank you!
